Had a great Christmas stay here! The staff were very friendly and gave me a warm welcome. The location was perfect for exploring the city and the sea view from my room was stunning. The room was also very clean and comfortable, making my stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast buffet was not very impressive and lacked in variety. However, the staff still made up for it with their great service.

The view from the window is very nice.
Most of the stuff has to learn English. The bathrooms must be renovated.

Located in an industrial neighborhood, this hotel offers a unique experience right on the seafront. the hotel provides stunning views of the port and the ever-changing spectacle of boats passing by. the rooms are adorned with beautiful Murano glass details, adding a touch of elegance. the breakfast at the hotel is excellent, featuring local delicacies such as Sicilian cassata and almond milk. the friendly staff is always available to assist with any questions or concerns.
The hotel lacks in providing a variety of restaurant options in the immediate vicinity.

The room was really large and beautiful and the staff member spoke excellent English! The breakfast was also amazing, including everything and three Sicilian cakes.

Great views and location close to the city center and harbor. the room was spacious and the beds comfortable. the staff was helpful and friendly, making check-in and check-out easy.
The hotel is outdated and poorly maintained. the carpets were worn out and the wallpaper was peeling.

The hotel was close to both the town centre and the ferry port, which meant that it didn't take long to reach on foot when we arrived. It was comfortable, clean and had a good view from the room for the price.
We were slightly confused to find that the hotel is known as the 'Jolly Hotel' and not the 'Hotel dello Stretto Messina'. It therefore took us a bit longer to find. Other than this, the hotel itself was fine.

Very pleasant staff, very good breakfast, beautiful view behind the window. Free internet I could reach from my room. Free ticket for car staying on the street not far from the hotel.
Any hydraulic problem in bath - very slow emptying

This place is your worst nightmare! First, in doesn’t even look like the picture posted in Booked.net The air conditioning made such a loud noise that was impossible to work, sleep and even watch the television. So, as I was there for work and had to work I asked to be changed to another room, more quiet. But in this ‘international four star’ hotel (which is advertised in websites outside Italy) the staff does not speak English! In my second room, the air conditioning was working perfectly well but the tv was broken, there was no signal for internet and not only one single bottle of water in the minibar when outside temperature was 43ºc! But I thought I could sort this out by going to the bar/restaurant of the hotel which I rememberd having seen advertised in the website…..surprise!!! Bar and restaurant were closed down!. Due to the fact that having internet was crucial for me, I begged to be changed to another room. In my third room, again, internet and tv were not working, and the fridge of the minibar was not even plugged. At that point, my bad mood was evident and the same for the staff of the hotel but as it was late in the evening, I was not able to start looking for an alternative place to sleep. My fourth room, had internet, tv, aircon and a minibar with 2 bottles to water….what an oasis! Soon after I accepted this room, I headed the toilet for a shower: when closing the slide doors in the shower room one of these slides just fell off.
There was no hot water in the basin and no water whatsoever in the wc! On top of that, I spotted a hole in the room wall and another one in the ceiling. To make the day, the lock of the room door was not working and I had to spend the night with the door unlocked. This time, I went here for work and I was expecting a four stars hotel as they advertise themselves. But I am a person who used to travel a lot as a backpacker so I am used to see different places. Therefore I can not recommend enough NOT to go this place unless you really want to have a dreadful and scary experience. This has been the WORST place I have ever been in.

This hotel is well located on the main street of Messina. The rooms are clean, spacious and quiet also with seaview. The staff is particularly helpful and very professional. The breakfast is good with a great variety of dishes. We stayed twice in this hotel while in Sicilia and we liked it.

Windows prevent efficiently that the noise form the street disturbs in the room (but we did not have to use the air conditioning, it was winter time). Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Building is totally tired and in an urgent need for a deep refurbishment.
